Pearl Harbour was another turning point in the war, before this the United States of America were practicing isolationism. When Japan angered the monster that was the United States they soon saw America's full wrath. Because the Japanese failed to destroy the US Aircraft carriers, oil reserves and submarine pens the Invasion of Pearl Harbour was a short lived victory and the US were able to recover quickly.
